Since they are not going to be at the final I started wondering what they will do now. I think promotion for Disco Defenders has aleady ended, right?

They have some gigs in March and April, but after that they will be free until July, when they will start the Diggiloo tour, and that will probably keep them busy until the end in August.

So, what will they do now? Will they take a rest? Will they promote Headlines (but then, what's the point in promoting a one-track cd single?)? Will they start recording a new album(I sure hope so!)? Or will they release a single in the UK?

I know none of us know the answers yet, but let's keep this space for us to discuss any news or rumours about their upcoming plans.

It would also be nice if the moderator or anyone who works with Alcazar would come here and tell us their plans!

They sshould give us new album.
Disco Defenders did not make it internationally.
So they should release new album in Scandinavia.

Working with Alexander Bard again would be incredible. Their best "disco-style" tracks were made with him... It would be wonderful if they got together again for the new album.

Alexander has a facebook profile, what if we all asked him if there is a chance of this happening again?

I think they said in a interview or something that they will go back in to the studio this fall. So if we're lucky they'll release a new album in the spring or summer next year. ;)

And Alca, andreas write so much on his blog. ;) We talked about the detox thing. He have thoughts of go on detox with the readers so they can motivate each other to loose weight. :)

Aah alirght! Honestly I didn't read everything there. :P I read that after Diggiloo he'd go on a serious detox and I stopped reading there. I thought he meant he'd go on vacation or something. Hehe

A new album would be AWESOME!!! But I am a bit worried about the "move to another direction" thing...Remember?

Hahaha, since they're on a big tour around Sweden now there's not much time to make some homecooked meals, so they've problably been eating at every single burger king around all of Sweden by now. hahaha, therefore the detox thing ;-D

On scandipop..no idea if true. Plus theres a performance of Funky town.

We’ve got some INCREDIBLY FANTASTIC news for anyone with even a passing interest in pop music.

We can exclusively reveal that Scandinavian pop Gods, Alcazar, have recorded a track with UK pop pioneers, Same Difference! Not only that, but it’s been composed by Anders Hanson and Sharon Vaughan (who together created ‘Release Me’ by Agnes).

*SCREAM*

The idea was the brainchild of Same Difference’s UK label, PopLife. They say that they wanted to bring together the two most passionate pop bands in the world, on one track. The result, they say, is ‘’one of the most fun tracks scandipop fans will hear all year’’. Yes please! It’s called ‘Karma Karma’ and is produced by Anders Hanson too. The track will appear on Same Difference’s album due out later this year. The inclusion of Alcazar is wonderful obviously (and isn’t it so reassuring to hear when they’ve been making new music again?!), but even before this news came about, we’ve long been looking forward to the new Same Difference album anyway. Their first, ‘Pop’, was a masterpiece, but we get the feeling that the second is going to be even better – thanks mainly to the collaborative vision they share with their new label, PopLife – a record label after our own heart! Plus, the album has its fair share of scandipop influence too – with Tony Nilsson and Hanne Sørvaag listed as some of the writers and producers (along with Topham & Twigg from the days of Steps and Tina Cousins, plus Georgie Dennis of S Club Juniors writers fame). We know, WE KNOW, it sounds all too much doesn’t it?! It’s clearly an album that’s being crafted by pop connoisseurs.
